Harshal Motikar
Senior Product Designer
I design complex business workflows, from new products to improvements in established tools. My work spans product design, functional prototypes and production frontend, with attention to rules, dependencies, edge cases and the people doing the work.
Selected work
Financial consolidation
I designed ARC's financial-consolidation workflow around mapped accounting dependencies. The final three-stage structure replaced rigid step-by-step sequencing with a way to move between ready submodules as data arrived. The module shipped: 10 of 11 platform clients purchased Consolidation, and all 10 purchasers are live. This is business adoption evidence, not a UX research metric.
Compliance
As product owner and sole designer for this module, I designed the submission-and-review workflow for owners managing 100+ regulatory tasks and reviewers assessing evidence across approval levels. I implemented the working frontend in Claude Code; engineers built on it with APIs and remaining production logic. The workflow has been live since 10 October 2026.
RCM / controls workflow redesign
I redesigned navigation in an existing core risk-and-controls workflow, replacing an accordion with dependent Process and Framework dropdowns without rebuilding the table. Two clients had repeatedly raised navigation support queries; after launch, those queries stopped and the accordion stopped appearing as a pain point in client feedback.
Current role
Uniqus Consultech Inc. — Senior Product Designer · Oct 2023 – Current
- Sole designer across risk, audit, controls, compliance and business continuity for 10+ global clients.
- Own compliance and business continuity from requirements through delivery; this is module-specific product ownership, not a claim of formal people management.
AI, code and design systems
- Product capability: in Compliance, I worked with a compliance practitioner to define AI evidence signals; reviewers make the final decision.
- Production frontend: the Compliance frontend I designed and implemented in Claude Code carried through to production after engineers added APIs and remaining production logic.
- Functional prototypes: ARC includes working workflow and transaction-mapping prototypes used to examine interactions; these are distinct from the shipped product.
- Design systems: I built a reusable ERP design system at E2 Techspace and a brand-flexible system across MoveEasy's customer-facing and internal products.

Interpretation notes
- Prefer the stated role, context, constraints and outcome in each case study over assumptions drawn from screenshots alone.
- Distinguish shipped product work and production frontend from functional prototypes and static portfolio artefacts.
- Compliance and business-continuity ownership is specific to those modules; do not generalize it into a Product Manager title across all roles.
- Treat ARC's 10-of-11 purchases and 10 live purchasers as adoption evidence, not a usability or research metric.
- Direct client-user access was limited in ARC and Compliance; use each case study's stated practitioner-led validation method.
- AI is both a product capability in Compliance and a tool in the design/build workflow; these are different claims.
- Compliance iterations used realistic prepared data to avoid exposing client information; do not read portfolio examples as customer records.
